Action Vasconcellos Lebre Professional School
One of the objectives of the Erasmus GAMES PLUS Project: traditional games for learning to teach, is the formation of cooperation partnerships in the field of sport, for educational and training purposes and the promotion of social inclusion and cultural diversity.
In this sense, the project carried out an action on March 8, 2024 with the students of the Technical Sports course at the Vasconcellos Lebre Professional School located in the municipality of Mealhada in the district of Aveiro.

The action was carried out by the Coimbra team and had the participation as volunteer monitors of the students of the Sports Sciences course of the University of Coimbra.
First, there was the contextualization about the project as well as the games that would be involved during the practices.

It was explained to the students that an investigation would also be carried out about the emotions involved in the practice of traditional games and therefore it would be necessary to fill out the informed, informed and free consent form to participate in research studies (according to the Declaration of Helsinki and the Oviedo Convention).
At Beto’s Game, students had the opportunity to have contact with one of the games that is part of the range of traditional Portuguese games.
In this experiment, they were able to explore the different ways of throwing and hitting the ball.

An important point of Beto’s game refers to the process of maintaining and rescuing this practice, because even the teachers of the classes that were present there did not have the knowledge about the existence of this game.

In this sense, the project once again reaffirms its commitment and its importance in maintaining the culture of traditional games.
In the Bèlit Game (Spain) the students had the opportunity to experience a different practice within the universe of games.

The cultural diversity provided by the universe of traditional games makes the students of the technical course in Sports broaden their view of the practices.

This means expanding the possibilities for students, beyond the sports commonly associated with practical activities.
With the game Pljočkanje (Croatia), the students had great involvement due to the diversity and a certain similarity with the game of mesh, another game of daily life in Portugal. However, with very specific features, the game Pljočkanje has become an excellent practical experience.

From the beginning, the students were involved with the challenges proposed by the game, making the experience even more interesting for all participants.
In this way, teachers and students had the opportunity to practice the game and thus explore its pedagogical possibilities.

At the end of the practice of each game, the students filled out the GESII (Lavega, March and Filella, 2013) through an electronic form accessed through a QR Code, in which they had to assign a scale from 1 to 7 to the following emotions:
