The Portuguese Federation of Traditional Games, was founded on March 22, 2015, by several
Associations and Clubs, since that date it has been the legal representative recognized by the
guardianship of the representative of Traditional Games in Portugal.
The practical task of the FPJT are: -To represent the traditional sports and games in general, from the organization members or not -To support the affiliated members by the creation of an information network -To support the setting up of other national or regional associations – To support the setting up of national.
In recent years, the FPJT has promoted more than 5000 initiatives (events) with the participation of more than 1,200,000 participants, from pre-primary children, 1st and 2nd cycle of basic education, as well as universities, seniors’ homes, and regional parties and locations.
As well as collectively participated in several International meetings (European and World), Seminars, Colloquiums and demonstrations of International Games. The Portuguese Federation of Traditional Games has very broad network that encompass national schools and sports clubs. They are able to engage with all sorts of participants to connect into the project. Besides, they have the official representation in Portugal for all traditional games.
