The INEFC has a lot of experience in training activities through TSG (subject in the university degree of physical education; master programmes, summer courses, seminars, and online courses). In the field of research, the INEFC, through the Research Group on Motor Action and Traditional Games (GIAM 2021 SGR 847), has carried out more than 40 competitive research projects based on the cultural, relational, and emotional dimensions of traditional sports and games, also considering the topics of Social Inclusion, Equality of Opportunities (Gender Perspective).

In the field of research, the INEFC, through the Research Group on Motor Action and Traditional Games (GIAM 2021 SGR 847), has carried out more than 40 competitive research projects based on the cultural, relational, and emotional dimensions of traditional sports and games, also considering the topics of Social Inclusion, Equality of Opportunities (Gender Perspective). These projects have received grants from the Ministry of Science and Education of Spain, the Department of Culture of the Generalitat of Catalonia, and the European Union (Culture 2000 programme). Members of this group have supervised more than 25 doctoral theses on this subject and have published more than 60 articles, ten books and 100 book chapters in Europe, Africa, America, and Asia. They have also been part of the scientific committee of about 100 international conferences on traditional games and sports in more than 30 countries (from Europe, Africa, Asia and America).
INEFC has carried out actions with diversity for the safeguarding and promotion of TSG. At the regional level, it has organised summer schools of traditional games for ten years (Horta de Sant Joan, Catalonia); at the national level, it has participated in various projects of the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science for the promotion of socio-emotional well being through TSG. Its central projection is international. She has extensive experience in participating in international projects.
The year 2007 Cultura 2000 (play with your heart share your skin through TSG); 2013 collaborator in the project European traditional sports and games: Strengthening European Traditional Sports -abbreviation “SETS” (EAC-20130483). In this project, the importance of networking at the European level was observed; three specific Erasmus+ projects were coordinated on TSG: 2017 BRIDGE. Promotion of European Traditional Sports and Games, a Bridge for Intercultural Dialogue (579616-EPP-1-2016-1-ES-SPO-SSCP). Intercultural dialogue between secondary schools, universities and The AEJeST was facilitated. The results provided evidence of the positive impact of TSG among young adolescents. 2019. She also coordinated the project TOGETHER. Promotion of European Sports and Traditional Games: Together for Inclusive Intercultural Dialogue (602910-EPP-1-2018-1-ES-SP). In this case, several centres for people with intellectual disabilities networked to use TSG for inclusive intercultural dialogue. People with disabilities participated in the roles of players, monitors and referees of inclusive interventions through TSG. Finally, the project OPPORTUNITY: fostering social inclusion and gender equality in formal and non-formal educational contexts through applying traditional sports and games (622100EPP-1-2020-1-ES-SPO-SCP) is currently being coordinated from 2021 to December 2023. This project offers an innovative methodology that includes phases of training (MOOC course), intervention (application of an educational experience in formal and non-formal contexts), and research (use of an APP) to observe the positive impact of TSG with an inclusive purpose.
In addition, INEFC is a founding member of The AEJeST (2001). Networking with other international organisations has enabled collaboration directly with UNESCO. In 2022 INEFC, with the cooperation of The AEJeST and ITSGA (International Association of TSG), created the global network of TSG teachers and researchers (about 300 people from 33 countries).
